The Cylinder Production Technician is responsible for the movement and safety of all cylinders of compressed gas. This role can develop into filling cylinders, testing cylinders, etc. It will start with simply loading and unloading trucks so that the new employee masters the identification and movement of compressed gas cylinders. The ideal candidate should be focused, energetic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Accuracy in following procedures and regulations is essential. Any candidate for this position should be in strong physical condition as the demands of the job are physical in nature. The role begins with loading and unloading compressed gas cylinders, but there are opportunities to train in cylinder maintenance and filling. For those who excel, there are chances for further advancement within the organization.
Role Qualifications
- Potential candidates will be required to take a pre-employment assessment, drug-screening test and a criminal background review.
- The successful candidate must have at least a high school diploma. NO GED’s ACCEPTED.
- Prior gas handling experience is helpful, but not required.
